There are thousands of inventions that changed the world what we see today. One invention is founding steps for another and all are interlinked. There are some inventions like plastic and ammunitions that have negative effects on humans, on the other hand, there are numerous positive inventions that made our lives easier. I will try to list out few inventions that changed our lives.

**Steam Engine: **

Industrial revolution which changed the history of humans in very short period of time and its major contributor is the invention of “Steam Engine”. In early 19th century the concept of steam engine was widely used for transportation and mainly in manufacturing industries. The concept of steam engines is developed by many people like Thomas Savery and Thomas Newcomen and James Watt.

**Fire: **

Fire is one of the important discoveries of early humans as this discovery separates humans from other living things in our planet. We can say that discovering and controlling fire is one of the greatest victories to mankind as fire makes day longer and early humans started eating cooked food which is nutritious and it helped to develop human brain.

**Wheels: **

We all know that wheels are everywhere and it plays a vital role in human evolution. With the invention of wheel people started using it for variety of things like pottery, agriculture and travelling. Though there are several theories that debates on who invented the wheel, we are only focusing on its usage and its contribution in our daily lives. As per Wikipedia, the first wheel used between 4500–3300 for pottery and the use of wheel for transportation started only around 3000 year ago.

**Electricity: **

Electricity plays a vital roles in our lives today, we cannot imagine our lives without electricity. Whether we are at home, office or travelling, we are using our phones and laptops using electricity. Our complete modern industrial innovations are dependent on electricity. Few notable people who worked on making electricity possible are Robert Boyle, Benjamin Franklin and Alessandro Volta.

**Internet & Computers: **

There is no introduction required for this invention. Today I am writing this post because of my computer and internet. PC’s and Internet are the biggest invention of twentieth century, today people can get in touch with loved ones, use it for entertainment purpose or to earn money online thanks to internet. After the invention of computers and the internet, the humans flourished like never before.

I also agree that there are other fascinating innovations that changed our lives like medicines, airplanes, media & communications, light bulb and so many. I have listed above purely on the basis of my knowledge please let me know which innovations that you think has changed the world.
