Google’s Switch To Android iOS App Now Works With Android 12 Device

Earlier in the year, Google announced the release of its Switch to Android app. The app was designed with the aim of making it easy for anyone switching from an iPhone to an Android device, and making the transfer of important data like your iPhone contacts and calendar entries. Initially, when Google released the app it was limited to its Pixel devices, but now the Switch to Android supports all Android 12 phones. Support for all Android 12 phones makes this app a necessity when moving from an iPhone to a new Android device.

When using this free iOS app, a transfer process is initiated by displaying a QR code on the iPhone, once scanned the transferring of photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events starts. What makes this app unique is the fact that it allows users to transfer data wirelessly instead of having to connect two phones via a cable. Although the cable option has been observed to perform faster and is better suited to transferring larger amounts of videos and photos.

he app has also been confirmed to support transferring of WhatsApp messages. During the process, users will be prompted to launch WhatsApp to transfer over a full history of messages, photos, and voice messages. And, if you’re switching from an Android phone to an iPhone, Apple has its own Move to iOS app that is made available to help Android users switch to iOS since 2015 seamless.
