All Systems Go for SpaceX's Falcon Heavy The massive rocket has completed a crucial engine test, and Elon Musk says it's ready to launch.

A roar pierced the air at Cape Canaveral in Florida for a few seconds Wednesday.

The sound was the cry of the engines on the Falcon Heavy, a massive launch vehicle developed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX. The Heavy had been hauled to the launchpad at Kennedy Space Center for a brief but crucial test that will determine whether the rocket is ready for its maiden flight, which Musk has said will take place later this month.

The milestone, known as a static-fire test, involved securely anchoring the Falcon Heavy to the launchpad, loading it with propellant, and then igniting its 27 engines at full thrust. For several seconds, plumes of thick smoke billowed out from the base of the launchpad and created a big white cloud. Musk tweeted shortly after the static fire that the test was “good.”

I hope this is a stepping stone to a new age of space exploration. In my life I have seen no lunar missions and although the international space station is cool it's just not as awe inspiring as going to places like the moon and mars. I hope this rocket can help get us there.

Elon Musk is such a legend man. I respect him. He is one of the few that is advancing our world. I can't even imagine that I will be witness of the first people's colony on Mars. It's awesome!

Woww amigo había leído algo sobre esto y creí que no era cierto, pero veo que si lo es interesante y muy buen aporte, Saludos:)

I think its a great news if that’s true. All I know Elon Musk broke too many promises he already made. Not saying he is not a genius, but his marketing methods can be sometimes, let’s call it “surprising”

Hey contentjunkie, sorry to go off topic but I found a post you wrote long ago about an issue with payouts. Some of the post I made has a very small payout amount 0.01, but when the 7 days were up, I don't see them in my history and no claim reward button. Any idea why? Thanks in advance!

Greetings, the space missions are magnificent ... I have always found interesting everything that remains to be discovered beyond our globe and those who support this rocket are fortunate to see images that even in dreams you can not imagine ... Thank you for sharing .

Elon is a modern day legend. Rewriting science fiction into fact.
I don't want a Lambo, I want a trip to the stars..

Musk will change everything in this world. He is a smart guy and his companies are great companies and can make a difference.

Great article! To me, Elon Musk is probably one of the best visionaries of this century, he is truly inspiring. Do you think that his project to use one his rockets as a transportation system on earth will succeed? I am very curious about you opinion on this subject.

  1. In terms of self driving cars, I think that Elon Musk will achieve his goal of having a fully autonomous self driving car. Let's not forget that he funded OpenAI (nonprofit organization for AI research) two years ago and that the Tesla self driving system quite benefit from it. Not to mention the amount of brilliant AI scientist that get promoted from OpenAI to Tesla such as Andrej Karpathy for instance. So yeah they will get there.
