Nanomedicine: The medicine of the future
If you have read my last post, I'm pretty sure that you have an idea of what nanotechnology is. If you don't, you can read my post right here:

Well, I'll assume that you know what nanotechnology means, so let's start with this amazing trip through one of its many applications: the nanomedicine
What is the nanomedicine?
The application of nanotechnology in the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and control of biological systems is called nanomedicine.
There are a lot of applications of nanotechnology in the medicine. For example, scientists had made "drug nanocarriers". This small carriers are taken and they go directly to the affected area in your body. This is possible because the nanobots that form the nanocarriers are guided by magnetic fields into the injured zone, something that is a big progress in the treatment of cancer.
Also, there are biosensors with the mission of detecting certain substances of interest that may indicate the existence of diseases, such as glucose or any biomarker of any other kind of disease.
Future of the medicine
Among the future applications of nanotechnology in medicine, we find the possible creation of a biocompatible fuel that allows a more efficient transport of nanobots through the body.
Also, it is thought that intelligent nanobots can be created so that they are able to react to strange stimulus, such as changes in temperature, pH and even changes in the chemical composition, so you will know exactly where to release the drugs to achieve a greater effectiveness.
In conclusion...
The nanomedicine is a great revolution to the medicine, and of course, the nanotechnology opens a door to a new hopeful future in this (and in many others) field.
