The SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket was carrying a unique payload when launched into orbit today. A cherry red Tesla Roadster. The car will be orbiting mars and you can view it's Journey on the livefeed from SpaceX:

About two and a half minutes after the launch, two of the three boosters on the rocket detached and landed upright, at the same time, at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. This is amazing technology by the SpaceX foundation to be able to re-use rocket parts.
The Tesla Roadsters radio has David Bowie’s song Life on Mars playing on repeat. It is estimated that the Roadsters batteries will last about 12 hours in space before running out of a charge.
