When the output is perfected, reversing it to become input becomes a danger that is impossible to overstate. Considering they are already creating group-cognition computer interfaces where two people just think to give input to a third person playing Tetris, I suspect they are much further along than is apparent in press briefings.

I'm not sure I even want to know what the military is capable of in this area, given that best estimates are it is anywhere from 20-40 years more advanced technologically than the public is allowed to know.

I have been trying to keep up in this area and it is fascinating. My Cyborg Chicken and Selfish Ledger posts are nice complements to the write-up you did here. Put all of them together and I think we can see a vague path forward for those who wish more control and less accountability.
