Events of 1983, 1994, 2004......and yet people still think they can predict technology outcomes

In 1983, the young Bill Gates and Steve Jobs embark on their illustrious careers. Nobody, and I'll repeat NOBODY, could have predicted the massive amounts that would be created in the next 30 years. Here is a funny video of them.

In 1994, the internet and email were becoming part of everyone's life for the first time, companies like Netscape AOL and Lycos were the titans. It would be reasonable to suggest these companies would take over the world.

In 2004, Google's IPO was considered one of the most expensive in history. I vividly remember many of my co workers steering their clients away from this "extremely expensive stock". Once again, no one at the time could predict what the future would hold for this great new industry.

So please, in 2017 when you read or watch something from Forbes, or the Wall street journal, or CNBC know that most of these people do not understand the basic technology or the future potential it has. They are simply people reporting the news of the day.

It is most likely the case that the biggest coins/companies in this realm haven't even been thought of yet.

I absolutely love the story of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. I saw an interesting documentary the BBC done a while back it was significantly better than the movies that have been released since.

Correct nobody could have predicted this but we owe those 2 men a lot. Great post.

These are some great videos!
No one believes in certain concepts. They think it is merely impossible and nothing like would ever happen. Too bad they cannot foresee the future and their fantasies become a reality.
Let's see what mind boggling inventions are to come.

This video makes me think about how Crypto currency's are on their early stage, they will be revolutionary like the internet.

Their stories are every inspiring. Maybe you do do one for Jeff Bezos as well :))

Their stories are not that different from this days wIth all that digitalisation!
I don't even know how big we can grow from here!
I have goozebumps everytime i think about it!

People will slowly adopt.
And i believe we will move this to the next level just by doing what we do right now! :d

We are living the future of the past
