What i really want to know: How do network providers get the data we buy how do they get it???

Dear steemit friends would love you to assist me so i can be cleared on this..
"How does networks like MTN, Etisalat and even 4G networks like Smile and Spectranet etc as well as other network providers get the DATA they sell which we subscribe to as data bundle…The people they buy from, how do they produce it?"
