Augmented reality isn't just for gaming,...
over the years it has been growing in popularity and it's quickly made its way into a variety of different industries today.
From healthcare and manufacturing, to education, tourism, and fashion, there's plenty of room for augmented reality to grow. And it might drastically change how we go about buying things in the future.
Companies that have been looking to set themselves apart from the crowd, have embraced augmented reality as a marketing tool and we are now seeing it used with purchases for clothing, shoes, in magazine ads, for wine and other beverages.
There are a growing number of brands today that are eager to embrace this immersive tech to create a new experience for shoppers. You can find brands like Adidas, Burberry, Gap, Topshop, Nike, and others, already experimenting with augmented reality.
Might augmented reality be able to help shoppers make a more informed purchase decision?
Whether they are flipping through a magazine or browsing a shoe store downtown for a new pair, we are going to see AR used in a variety of different ways.
Already, there have been many brands that have been boosting their AR investments, because they hope that by using AR is going to prove successful in advertising campaigns for various products.
From interior design to clothing shopping, augmented reality has been helping people to get a new perspective on how an item might look in their home, how big the item might be in real life, what the overall look of the item is etc.
Quite often when buyers purchase clothing items online they are surprised to find out that the product that arrives looks little like the one that they had seen when they made the purchase. The same thing goes for those making furniture purchases, as well as other items, they often overestimate the size of their home or they are surprised to see how the finished product looks after it has been put together.
Perhaps AG will be able to reduce some of those regrettable purchases, by giving people a more thorough view, being able to test products at home, and hopefully give them a better overall understanding of what they're buying.
Investments in augmented reality are expected to surpass $100 billion by 2020, as more retailers and others go looking to utilize this technology to try and improve the overall shopping experience.

I have found it to be very handy because I can read up on the item in the description section and kno the martieral and other things that I wouldn’t know just by looking at the item in the store .
Same thing goes for clothes , I can read up on the size and dimension to see what would best fit because one brand size small can mean a medium size in another .
I have found that I make better choices this way

AR is definitely improving with time, but clothing is still a little concerning, if brands can make the measurements true to size and color true on screen as in person, I think shopping would be changed forever. Imagine almost never having to go into a dressing room?

This topic is very interesting. <certainly augmented reality, it is something that has been included in our lives throughout time. Does our lives make our lives easier? Yes, does it have repercussions? Tambie. Why? This new form of marketing, is very comfortable to find what you want. And it gives you a lot of information. But it also makes the scams a lot easier, since they can sell you a product and give you another one, it helps to facilitate the lives of the busy people, but also, the fact of going out to look for products, is one of the moments that many families use to be together. So everything has its good, and bad things. For companies, it will always be better, because it will give them an increase in customers and in sales (that is indisputable).
