This NeuroScientist says Cell Phones can cause Severe Social Development!

Sometimes, I like to go read books and literature outside my own cage. I'm finding that more and more, secular authors, scholars, and social commentators are agreeing with the problems that we might be facing as a society, given technology. Young people are addicted to their cell phones. Rather than any social media platform, regular peer-to-peer text messaging still reigns king. But in this vacuum, the isolation and private consumption of information is causing severe social development in young people. The author I mention in the video (a Neuroscientist) suggests that nine year olds immersed in their cell phones have the social development of four year olds, and that their need for video interaction for proper communication is something that "autistic kids live in." This suggests that most children being born now are being severely hindered when it comes to social development. The phrase, "they're dumbing us down," is an understatement.

In the book "Brain Rules for Baby," neuroscientist John Medina states how cell phones and texting are creating a stunt in social development, to the point where normal kids are operating at autistic levels! This only confirms that the technology we have in our hands was not meant to help us, but ultimately hurt us, and eventually fulfill Revelation 13.

Awesome article really is full of knowledge and information.

I don't think we know all of the possible side effects of cell phones yet - don't put them right agains't your head.

Following. Nice to see you killing it on here!
Guy

There are certain frequencies which can change behaviour. I think it was a study done by Philadelphia University.

But just the act of obsessively checking a phone all day for likes and updates is creating a generation of delusional narcissists. It's unhealthy.

Are people really giving smartphones to 9 year-olds?

People are giving kids tablets and smart phones much younger than 9. Some kids like 2-3 years old. On one hand the argument is that they will be ahead of the curve in terms of using tech. But at what cost? Maybe lots of social dysfunction when you're older.

The book recommends no phone or tablet until age 5.

But I grew up in the late 80s and 90s and I remember the days before the internet, and I've learned to use it just fine. We don't need to rush kids into it for sure.

I followed you here from YouTube. I appreciate your hard work. You are cutting edge on the technology aspect. I appreciate your work.

Unfortunately it is a worldwide trend, I am fortunate to have family on four continents and to see horrified as we all act in the same way. With the smartphone they have achieved what they were looking for.
