ARCore: Augmented reality at Android scale - by GOOGLE

Hello STEEMIANS,

       All of us know about VR & AR which have revolutionised the technological world. Among AR (AUGMENTED REALITY) is the most advanced one in which we are able to see all our sorroundings and are able to set 3D objects in the sorrounding world easily by the help of a hardware. 

Google's AR Core :-

  The amazing thing that all over the world more than 200 billions of devices are running on the GOOGLE'S Android platform which takes the major part in the world. Recently Apple has developed the Ar tool kit. In order to beat, Google has developed and released a Software Development kit (SDK) which brings the augmented reality features and capabilities to the present and future phones. This AR Core runs without any extra hardware requirements.

                       Google is working on this AR projects from the past three years with Tango functionalities. But AR Core does'nt need any extra and additional hardware requirements which can scale across the scale android system devices. AR Core is compitable and can run on millions of divices starting from PIXEL phones,  S8 of SAMSUNG, running 7.0 and above devices. Google's target is to get 100 million people at the end of the preview. They are working with mainly device manufactureres like SAMSUNG,Huawei, LG, ASUS and others to make this possible with a better quality and high performance.

ARCore Overview :-

    ARCore conists of or works on java/OpenGL unity and focuses on mainly three things.

🗼Motion tracking: As casually AR SDK uses the camera in which the software ARCore uses the IMU sensors data to understand both the position orientation and of the device and to give the perfect virtual object that remains accurate. It uses the camera to know the feature points of room.

🗼Environmental understanding: The shapes and products of the AR are normally to be placed on atable or a bench or a plane surface. ARCore can detect the horizontal plane surfaces which uses the feature points of motion tracking.

🗼 Light estimation: ARCore observes the embembed light in the sorroundings to make the developers make the reactions according to the light and make feel it more realistic and entertainable.
