There are those who believe our presence on Earth began with the arrival of beings from another world, who colonised or nurtured life on this planet and that we are the result of interstellar, or at least interplanetary travel and exploration and possible manipulation of another ( Earth ) planetary environment for the purpose of human abode.

While this idea, in connection with our planet may be completely invalid, this is exactly the mission we have already embarked on here on Earth in the 21st century.

The colonisation of Mars is upon us and the first manned flight will be within the 10 years.
It is astounding that this incomparable pioneering exploratory endeavour is the work of an individual rather than the combined effort of the major space exploration oriented countries of the world.

Elon Musk is a South African born 45 year old naturalised US citizen who is turning his dreams into reality where others have failed.

Having made a tremendous impact on the cost of space exploration through technological advances in rocket propulsion manufacturing methodology, Musk has opened a new vista of possibility and is now funding his advances through fulfilling contractual obligations for cargo delivery to and from the International Space Station and launching and servicing satellites for a multitude of entities both public and private.

Musk's designs will see the migration millions of people to the martian planet over coming decades as his plans include the building of at least a thousand ships, each capable of carrying 100-200 passengers, and thereby provide a second human home, should ours suffer a catastrophic event.

The travel time will be a fraction of the voyages which took us to the New World and will be from as little as 30 days. The cost on the other hand is currently estimated by Elon himself at $10 Billion per person although he aims to bring it down to as low as $100,000

If he achieves his goal, Man will become an inter-planetary species with eyes set on even greater things, as we develop the technology to begin exploring our stellar neighbourhood.

Mr Musk has an excellent record, giving us the return of the electric car with his Telsa series and its rave reviews. And then there's the Tesla Power Wall which can power an entire home and recharge using solar power.

His plans to explore our solar system and colonise Mars are as natural to him and his team as our day to day business plans are to us, yet if you care to watch a video which provides an overview, you are bound to be enthralled by the majesty of his work.

SpaceX is a marvel of modern technology and Elon Musk the real Iron Man Marvel who is the chief designer on his own magnificent dream project to take the phenomenon called Man way beyond the bounds of the last 3 billion years and begin a new civilisation on another planet.
