Hi everyone,

this first post of the 3D printing guide will be just about general info & myself.

I am hastla from Europe and own some open source reprap 3d printers since 3 years. Additional I am an admin of 3 groups on facebook all 3D printing or printer related (30k+ members). After such a period and more or less helping hundrets of people with their printers over time I would call me a pro when it comes to hardware, firmware and that whole topic around 3d printing.

So whats going on here?

Well I planning to share in future some guides and tipps for 3d printing in general, DIY kits and hardware. There are now many printers available on the market - in the price range of 200USD to 3500USD, readybuild or as kit. So I will hopefully help some people and starters with usefull information in my guides.

Over the time I build 4 DIY printer kits and 1 completely myself from the scratch - yes I own 5 printers actually what print more or less nearly 24x7. So I learned a lot when it comes to this reprap 3d printers and I want to share my knowledge with you here at steemit!

What topics will be covered?

It is planned to cover all different stuff related to the topic - from hardware, software, firmware, tricks and finetuning to tips on how to do quality prints for under 250USD. So hope you will enjoy :-)

The overview to the series is here: https://steemit.com/technology/@hastla/4j3h3c-3d-printing-guide-1-0-overview

Greetings & stay healthy - see you soon on part #2!

hastla

Just a note:

This series I repost as I posted it on first days of steemit and it was simple missed and published on a day where there were some problems - lol. This was the first thing i printed with my first printer 3 years ago - so quality of course improved over time a lot of course :-)

I think that steemit is a good place for you to post on your 3d printing(3)
Good luck!
Nice post btw

Hmmm - I think not somehow..... on Steemit the concept powers "eye catching" & viral content. Sadly somehow not supporting content what would be valueable over time, we talked that in past and that would be another concept (but of course interesting).

I suggest that you post photo's of nice 3d prints you make sinds you have 4 of them working at your place. It takes some time to get followers but they will come over time iff you place nice articles.
Patience!

Thanks for you rinputs - yeah I already search for the pics I colleted over time. Will follow that time that writing :-)

Good luck with that!

i want a 3d printer, these are awesome

If you want to stay budget..... I highly recommend you the TEVO Tarantula - there is an owners group with over 20k people and it cost you 200USD shipped with DHL Express :-)

You print a few upgrades and it prints like a 5000USD machine - the owners group is also awesome, help everyone to get it running :-)

That is unbeatable and group alone worth the money!

Sounds good - will give it a good consideration. Hopefully Steem will go up high enough for me to fund this printer!

When want one TEVO Tarantula I can for sure get you some discount as I am the admin of the independend fb owners group with 30k people :-)

The printing of upgraded parts to make it go even better sounds like a really good article in the making :)

Yeah in fact you need not a lot - maybe brackets for mounting on table and some fan duct for the nozzle fan (so the one what points on extruded plastics).

It is really a great machine as you find already hundrets of ready-to-print parts on Thingiverse (for free). So community started to see it as platform and now you can make a 5k USD machine out of a 200usd :-)

The Bitcoin prints are great! I will hopefully see more of your 3D printing, so I will follow! :-)
