Sarahah app’s craze is on the rise globally. Its popularity from teens to youngsters is increasing day by day, who are downloading the app both on Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store for its feature that message sender’s ID remains hidden.
Anyone can send text message to the people having an account on this app by simply clicking on the user ID. The app will redirect the sender to the Sarahah website and a dialogue box will appear to send the message directly to anyone, having account on Sarahah, the sender wishes on the app.
For being an anonymous app, it will not let the receiver know the ID of the sender.
However, receiver cannot reply to the message. Only what he can do is sharing the message on social media or marking it as ‘Favourite’.
If anyone does not want to receive message from unknown person, he can be blocked. After blocking, all messages coming from the certain ID will be removed instantly and no further message will come further from that ID. However, the person who has been blocked will not know that he has been blocked.
There is no option in the app to delete the ID of the user. If anyone wants to remove his ID, he has to go to its website, where in Settings he will find the “Remove Account” option. He has to click on it to get his ID deleted.
Caution: As there is no age restriction to use this app or message sender’s ID is kept hidden, for that reason teenagers are particularly using it for cyber bullying.
