How can Chinese online shoppers receive their parcels so fast after the annual "Double 11" (November 11) shopping spree? The orange robots used in the Chinese logistic industry might be the answer.
To promote the efficiency of sorting, automated guided robots have been used in many logistics companies in China. Take the Wuhan branch of China Postal express & logistics in central China's Hubei Province for example, with the help of 80 big robots and 240 small robots independently developed by the company, the sorting volume can reach over 20,000 parcels per hour.
The robots can work 24/7 and able to manage more than 300,000 parcels every day. These robots can also automatically optimize working routes, avoid barriers, and even recharge itself
