Kominfo Exit Rule 1 NIK Can Register Many Cell Phone Cards

A trader is seen selecting a SIM card at his outlet in Bumi Serpong Damai, Tangerang, Banten, on Tuesday (7/11/2017). The government requires re-registration of SIM card for mobile phone users until February 28, 2018 using the NIK and family card (KK) numbers.

The Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo) decided that one Population Identity Number (NIK) could be used to register more than 3 SIM card numbers and have no restrictions.

This is stated in the letter about the implementation of SIM card registration which is distributed to each cellular operator.

In the letter detailed five points are presented to the operators.

It is mentioned that the operator is obliged to implement Circular Letter of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Number 01 Year 2018 to grant the right to the outlet to become the implementing partner of the registration including the 4th customer number and so on according to the law.

In a letter received Tuesday (8/5/2018) explained that there is no limit on the number of numbers that can diregistrasikan with one NIK.
