We purchased this Monoprice 3D printer ($300) for my kid's project and it definitely serves as a family printer for casual use. So far we have printed a motor mount, a computer fan shield, a dice box, two rudders and a EDF.

Of course it has glitches here and there. The biggest complain I have is it has to be calibered very well to have a clean print, and for an ordinary job, it takes a LONG time to print, ie. that computer shield took us 3 hours.

But that's all minor issues.

Looks like a great machine. Prints much smoother objects than the $300 DaVinci printers that came out several years ago.

Long print times are par for the course in 3D, aren't they? Maybe it's a chance to teach the kids about patience and anticipation.

Yes, they are... and I guess that’s why 3D printing is still not that popular as wished.

amazing print 👍🏼 3D bro @itsok
