All I wanted was to use a SIMPLE keyboard shortcut. That was 1000 lifetimes ago...
Take a look at the screencap below.
Inside the red highlighted box, there are four (4) keyboard shortcuts.
Each of the four shortcuts consists of three (3) elements.
- '^', which refers to the 'control' key on a Mac
- ',,' which is some sort of UFO apparition from the darkest circle of hell.
- a lowercase letter, from, like, the alphabet.
I am having NO PROBLEMS AT ALL understanding #1 and #3 but...
--WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS IN THE MIDDLE AND HOW DO I TYPE THEM--
Sorry. They're not commas. They're not single or double quotes. They're not the thing on the tilde key that isn't the tilde. I'm losing my mind.
Save me.
***UPDATE***
IT HAS BEEN SOLVED! Praise the baby Jesus. Turns out (and here's some Arcana for you) this means "first, press Control and Comma simultaneously. Then, lift off of those two keys, and press f." (in other words, " '^,' , 'f' " Why anyone thought this could be clearly expressed as '^,,f ' is beyond me, BUT WHATEVER. TOTALLY NOT MAD.
