It's a new week and I'm bringing you another presentation of technology I believe will bring the world into an abundant future. This week I want to present to you the current state of technology and the principles behind Sonic Levitation.
What the heck? Sonic Levi-what? You mean Back to the Future Hoverboards Brotato Chip?
Yes! I believe Back to the Future style hoverboards could be a possibility with a powerful enough sonic levitation device. I ran across a website with a kickstarter campaign and sells a diy sonic levitation kit you have to check out http://www.soniclevitation.com/. I would highly recommend checking them out if you want to teach your kids some science and blow away all the other competition at the science fair :)
The sound wave is generated by an electronics wave generator and comes through a source transducer. A high pressure wave is created and you can trap objects between the wave produced by the generator and the wave returned by the reflector.
What are the possibilities of this technology other than building the Hoverboard? Moving heavy objects would be a huge labor saver. Imagine moving the furniture in your house with ease by loading in onto a sonic levitation machine. How about new methods of transportation? With enough energy, it could be possible to levitate a vehicle and hover all over the place!
