Apple has obtained a patent for the manufacture of a stylus that can also draw in the air.
The company shows in the drafts sent to obtain the patent how the new stylus will work. It can be used on any surface without the need for a touchscreen like your tablet or smartphone.
Any device can be wirelessly connected to the new stylus, and a camera will track pen movements with special sensors. Thus, users could also draw in the air to get three-dimensional images.
The patent has been obtained since July 2016, but was only announced this year on the 18th
The new stylus can draw on a MacBook laptop or even on a Mac computer's monitor, but also on the iPhone or Apple Watch.
Apple already has a stylus, Apple Pencil, released in 2015, but it can only draw on an iPad Pro.
So far, we do not know when the new stylus will be launched, but it would be a real innovation, and Apple will be able to take it back to Microsoft (Surface Pen) and Google (Pixelbook Pen) rivals.
