The Xiaomi Redmi S2 can be categorised as an affordable smartphone from Xiaomi, as the brand has always been known for. It has some good features on board, which includes the excellent set of cameras and the good expandable storage. However, the smartphone lacks some basic features that most users look for. As for an example, the display and performance is nothing but average, especially in this price range. Hence, considering the reputation that the company has built over the past couple of years, these average specifications may turn down many buyers.

The Xiaomi Redmi S2 features a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1,440. This, along with a pixel density of 282 ppi accounts for a sharper display.

The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is powered by an octa-core, 2-GHz, Cortex A53 processor, built on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 chipset. The processor is coupled with 2GB RAM for handling multitasking requirements. At the same time, the Adreno 506 graphics processor enhances the gaming experience.
