Intel recently announced that a 28-core CPU which runs at 5GHz will be launched later this year, however, no mention was made about an approximate price point. AnandTech managed to a get a hands-on experience of a demo unit and concluded that Intel's monstrous CPU will cost well over than $10,000.

The upcoming 28-core CPU will reportedly be based on an 8000-series Xeon Platinum CPU, which costs around $10,000. Add to it the cost of a high-end power supply unit, motherboard, cooling system and other necessary components, your beefy rig will run you over $20,000 easily.
