That is correct. I know without a doubt that everything I say here is available on the blockchain forever. However, I doubt any significant percentage of facebook/google users understand or realize that they are essentially giving the 5-eyes access to anything they post. How many know the extent to which profiles of their life are created and shared (or with whom)? Big difference in my book.

Ignorance is no excuse and they certainly should know even though many do not. That kind of information is widely available and Facebook has been around going on two decades. You would think that the number of high profile hacks that happen on a regular basis would give people a further clue.
