Recently, Microsoft has released a new edition of Windows 10, Windows 10 S. Windows 10 S is "Streamlined for security and superior performance" according to Microsoft. This edition of Windows 10 is very different compared to Windows 10 Home and Pro. On this version, you don't have much options because of the features. First, you cannot install any other desktop browsers from the web, you can only install a browser from the Windows Store. I really don't like this feature just because I can't improve the browser. The Windows Store does not have Google Chrome nor Mozilla Firefox. If you want to switch your default browser, you will have to install Windows 10 Pro. Microsoft says this edition of Windows is designed especially for students and teachers, now that makes sense. The features in Windows 10 S is very similar to Windows 10 Pro with most of the business tools except for domain joining. I talked a little about if you would like to switch to Windows 10 Pro, you can but at a price. Microsoft claims it will be at a affordable price, but there's a catch. If you do decide to switch, you will not be able to go back to Windows 10 S, which I don't think anyone will ;). There are a few new computers with Windows 10 S like the Brand New Surface Laptop. I don't know if this edition will be any good but I guess we will find out!
