Welcome back Steemians, today begins my "Know Your PC" series!
Too many people use their computer without knowing how it works, and maybe they don't even know which components they have inside it. But to troubleshoot problems and make some upgrades in the future, you must know all of them.
Obviously the best way to start learning about your pc it's build it!
Usually pre-built PC sellers won't give you so much information about what's inside it, for example they can say: "i5 Intel processor!", yes, but which? The last year model or a 4 years old one?
Most of the times, you'll end up having an "unknown" pc that you have paid at least 20% more than it's actual value.
Nowadays, build your own PC is very simple, fun, and cheaper. You just have to know the most important components and choose them according to what you'll do with that computer. But there are some problems: not all components can work together and they're not all good to do what you need.
That's exactly what we'll talk about in this series!
I won't tell you what pieces are better, i'll teach you how to understand yourself which components are better! Well, I will obviously recommend some of them, but my goal is to give you the power to choose wisely. So in the next weeks we'll discuss about every component of our PCs, one per post, to learn what they are, what they do, and most importantly how we can choose them.
I hope you like this idea and, as always, if you have any question or advice leave a comment below! See you in the next chapter!
P.S.
If someone wants to take a look, here is a simple and usefull site to build your computer: Pc Part Picker. Using it you'll be sure that the pieces you have chosen can work together.
Sounds very interesting, looking foward on that series! I'm doing something similar but about buying used laptops. I'll stick to the end of your series.
