Instagram has confirmed to TechCrunch that it is testing a new way to navigate through posts. Instead of scrolling up and down with their fingers, users can now tap through posts and photos to advance forwards and backwards on posts, just like they could on Stories.
In a statement provided to the blog, an Instagram spokesperson said, "We’re always testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram and bring you closer to the people and things you love".
Do note that the test is currently only being conducted in the 'Explore' tab, with no word on whether it will come to the main feed any time soon.
