Heralding The Era of WIRELESS ELECTRICITY (WITRICITY)

in technology •  7 years ago

Have we ever thought about the possibility of having electricity distributed through wireless medium? Have we also imagined living without the use of electric cables and wires?

I present to you the Future of electricity: The Wireless Electricity (WITRICITY). This is quite different from Electricity Teleportation.

During the early 19th Century, Nickolas Tesla proposed an idea of Wireless Current. He went on to demonstrate the transfer of electric current using Electromagnetic Induction. This was the origin of the idea of Witricity.

In the year 1964, William Brown was able to achieve a form of wireless electricity. But his own idea was the use of Micro Beam to propagate the current.

PRINCIPLE OF WIRTRICITY

The principle behind Witricity is Electrical Resonance. This occurs when the Electrical Impedance is at the minimum level. This can also be solved mathematically with the formula of Resonance Frequency.

ω=1/(√LC)
Where ω = 2πf

(f is the resonance frequency, L is the inductance, and C is the capacitance).

WHAT WILL BE THE MEDIUM FOR THE TRANSMISSION?

Very simple, the electrical energy will be transmitted by means of electromagnetic induction. That means, the emitter and receiver must be equipped with a mutual electromagnetic coupling device.

This technology is evolving rapidly that in the nearest feature, we won’t know what phone chargers look like.  Our phones will be charge wirelessly. We can’t wait for that era to be ushered in.

God bless humanity.

Thanks @gbenga. I'm glad you enjoyed the post. I'm so enthusiastic of emerging technologies, ICT, and Real life issues. That could explain why I've tilted towards writing in these field.
I've made a new post on Virtual Reality. You can check it out for your perusal. Thanks

Very informative, thank you!

You're welcome. Glad you love it

muy buen post bro!! felicidades!!

I guess that's a Spanish way of saying; "Very good post bro!! Congratulations".
You're welcome @joseignacio
