Death has always been believed to be inevitable. But science and tech is really advancing to change all that. Over the years, there have been death-defying theories which have not really seen the light of the day. But even at that, researches in this field have been getting more and more advanced.
Will humans finally achieve immortality?
Will death be curable?
If your answer is in the affirmative, then let's take a ride into some of the discoveries made. Here are some mind-blowing advances being made in this field:
1. Longevity Elixir
I remember making a reference to this about two months ago, but this elixir has really gone better. The elixir (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide. NMN) was a major milestone in the quest for immortality. It was unveiled some months ago by Dr. Shin Ichiro led researchers from University of South Wales. The first subject tested was a rat, and yes, the result was mind-blowing.
You may ask, has this elixir been tested on human subject? Though the human subjects have been found, there are also further advances that need to be done to rule out the possibility of devastating negative effect.
2. Genetic Engineering
This is really not a new technology, except to the uninitiated. But we're looking at the genetic transmutation where the genes are tweaked to defy the process of aging. There's a protein compound called "Sirtuins", this protein degenerates as humans grow older. Now, directly modifying this protein could reverse the process of aging (not fully proven though). With advances being made in DNA sequencing and CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats), there is a hope of positivity in this tech.
3. Cryostasis (Cryonics)
This, in theory, has been proven to reverse Senescence (the process of getting old). We all know "Cryo" is associated with cold (sub zero degrees). How cryostasis hopes to achieve the process of biological immortality is this: People can be kept in this state for as long as possible, and they can be resuscitated in the future. This is just like passing through time in a "pause" mode (suspended animation).
The question is:
Is Immortality a possibility or futility?
I guess we should just watch and see how science and tech evolves.

Samminator. Sometimes, you amaze me with new discovery. Can't wait to hear that your name has been shortlisted among the newest science world record breaker.
Meanwhile, I am in opposition with few of your thesis oh!!!
From the longevity Elixir, if scientist had proven that on animals, how possible do you think that can be applicable to humans?
What possibilities are there from your research as valid by you that when man grows old, does he stay old forever, do you think other alternative does work????

It's an honour bro.
There's a resemblance in the genetic make up of mouse and man. If it works on mouse, there's a probability that it will work on humans. Also, some of these new biotechs are first tested on animals.
The idea is to prevent aging (senescence)

Woah👏👏👏. This is unusual you know. Humans prevented from aging. Has the senescene been tested on any human? If yes, remind me please. Let me create a news as post on it. Bye scientist and thanks for replying

Lol. It's been tested on mouse, and it yielded positive result. Humans won't be exceptions

I just remembered the Elixir that was used in 'The forbidden Kingdom'' movie, that made Jackie Chan immortal. damn it. i have to watch that film now. fantastic article.
