CFA piling - Okay I thought about this and its disturbing. We are about to engage drilling operations for CFA piling, but my challenge. The piling rig has a weight of approximate 40 tons. Prior to this time demolition of existing reinforced concrete was carried out plus excavations, back-filling, fill with imported sharp sand (fine aggregate) as filling material to natural ground level, there was also dynamic compaction with a vibro-roller compactor of 2 ton weight.
My question is: will the fill, consolidation and compaction of fine aggregate to excavated depth of about 2 meters, over and area of 10 meters by 5 meter be sufficient enough to bear the load of the equipment piling rig imposed on the the area aforementioned?
Dear Steemians, please if you have an experience in this area could kindly share and expose the bearing capacity of fine aggregates used for filling.
Ypur comment, suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thank y'all.
