THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY

Today we use computer computer for almost everything we do ,from banking to even breading of cats , (lol not real cats though ,they are built on ethereum blockchain, click here to find out more about cryptokittens)

When we hear the word computer ,the picture that comes to our head sometimes is just a square shape object that has a keyboard and can do what our brain cannot do. But computer is way more than what we see it to be today, the future of computer technology is what my mind cannot even comprehend .

We have computer in different forms, we have it in our phones ,cars, our tv, some eye glasses , on some clothes too and right now We are moving to a generation where almost all our devices can communicate with each other.(your car can talk to your fridge).

If your house is hot, your air conditioner can send signals to your phone ,requesting to be turned on by you , this can also be done when the house is getting too cold, the signals could be sent via mobile phones or programmed to self regulate on its on .

Such technology can also help single parents to prepare food while they are on their way home from work . Your car will be able to communicate with your microwave , telling it that you're like 5 minutes or 20 minutes drive from the house and based on some programming, the car will send signals to tell the microwave to start warm up or cook dinner for you.

Few years ago, many people didn't know what internet was and it was strange to them same way blockchain technology is strange to many today.

According that video, they didn't know what internet was then, that's the same question people are asking today, they keep asking ""What is steemit ?"" , ""What is blockchain?"", ""What is steem?"", will you let yourself be among those who will say "if only I listened to my friend that told me about steem?

Blockchain technology will make all those examples I gave real in the nearest future. Blockchain technology has helped the world of cryptocurrency which is currently disrupting the banking system.

Banks knows what is coming and the wise ones are ready and prepared for that "bankless" future. But is it really possible to have a "bankless" society, well anything is possible, the future will tell.

Some of the banks that are taking advantage of this wonderful blockchain technology are the top banks in the world and there are about 100 of them now.

The technology these banks are using is called XRP, which is the 6th most valuable cryptocurrency in the world, according to coinmarketcap.com, with a current price of $0.271395 for one XRP and market capitalization of $10,513,610,216 USD (626,067 BTC),top banks are really looking into this technology for faster and cheaper transactions.

According to the CEO of RIPPLE Brad Garlinghouse,

the world haven't yet scratched the surface of cryptocurrency

The first financial institution to use XRP is Cuallix, a Mexican non-Bank financial service that uses XRP for cross bother payments between USA and MEXICO.

Ripple currently has some member banks that use this technology such as

  1. Bank of Tokyo
  2. Royal Bank of Canada
  3. American Express
  4. Cuallix
  5. Credit Agricole
  6. Standard Chattered
  7. Yes bank
    Etc

There are several industries that the blockchain technology will disrupt in the future, but the banking industry is just the first to be directly affected, I think politics will be next, because we could have a decentralized voting system built on blockchain.

As for the XRP crytocurrency, I bought some early this year and I'm keeping XRP for a long time.

Blockchain technology is here to stay and is still very very untapped. One blockchain technology that I'll be reading on next year is steem and Lisk blockchain.

There is going to be massive rush for steem and sbd cryptocurrency next year because of the launch of smart media token and I'm preparing to market smt in my own way.

Lisk on the other hand uses Javascript to build decentralized applications that have their own side chains.

Every business or organization wants to have their own app and as we know it, there are millions of people currently using smart phones and it is expected to grow exponentially in some years time, so learning these stuffs ain't a a waste of time.

Blockchain technology will change this and the change is only just starting.
