Microsoft looking to boost Blockchain, Cryptocurrency Investment?

in technology •  7 years ago

Today Microsoft revealed a system it developed to help speed up blockchain networks. The system, named Coco (Confidential Consortium) Framework works to alleviate problems of speed and cyber-security. Microsoft reported the system has already increased Ethereum's efficiency a hundredfold. (Fortune.com ).

Azure's Chief Technology Officer Mark Russinovich regarding blockchain: " We think blockchain is going to potentially transform every industry."( Yahoo Finance )This sounds like Microsoft is prepared to invest heavily in the advancement of blockchain, which as we know is basically the foundation for Bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies. Microsoft is also planning to offer Coco free of cost ( sound familiar?) It seems Microsoft is making a play to ensure it has a good position when the real cryptocurrency wave hits. This is all still very new territory but i'm sure Microsoft has taken the long view. I currently hold several shares in Microsoft and am therefore biased in favor I also am NOT and Investment Professional, however I believe #MSFT is a solid investment for short and long term. Especially in light of such an obviously tactful move and textbook Microsoft one at that. Follow the links and check out the articles and enjoy guys!
