I've learnt in recent times that keeping settings on low can decrease your view distance. Was that the case with PUBG?

    depends on the game, actually pubg has a weird case in that lower view distance is better because grass is not rendered at long distances thus making it easier to spot enemies at farther distrances, other than that nothing is changed as far as i know
