Japan launches new observation satellite

  • Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency successfully launched a New earth observation satellite equipped with X-band radar.

  • ANSARO-2 developed by Japanese tech firm NEC, will perform earth observation task for 5 years from its orbit at an altitude of about 500 km
  • This was the first launch of JAXA Epslion rocket ordered by private company.
