Now , starting from Ryzen 3 it has 4 Cores and 4 Threads and that is similar to intel core i5 series but one thing to note here is the price which is between $109 to $129 so if you buy an i5 that will cost you above $200.

The Ryzen 3 processors are rated at 65 watt TDP and comes with a Ryzen Wraith Stealth Cooling Fan which looks similar to the one that comes with intel processors. As far as overclocking is concerned then .... Yes you can overclock it but make sure you use a better cooling fan so that you don't roast your processor

Now comes Ryzen 5 which comes in 2 models one with 4 cores and 8 threads and another one with 6 core and 12 threads all are rated at 95 watt TDP which actually competes with intel core i7's only if leave aside the higher end models like the ones with K. But one thing that you should know that Ryzen 5 series processors comes with 2 different Cooling fans.

The Ryzen 5 1400 which is the lowest model comes with a Ryzen Wraith Stealth Cooler which was also included in Ryzen 3 CPU's while the other higher end Ryzen 5 comes with a little bigger Ryzen Wraith Spire ( Non RGB ) only the top most model Ryzen 5 1600x which comes with 6 cores and 12 threads does not include a cooling fan which for me was kind of upsetting for a moment just when I realised the price of the processor and the price to performance ratio I'll be paying . So speaking of price the Ryzen 5 Series start from $169 and all the way up to $249

Finally we have Ryzen 7 which comes with 8 core and 16 threads and comes in TDP ranging from 65 Watts to 95 Watts

Here the Ryzen 1700 without X comes with a Ryzen Wraith Spire ( RGB) Cooling fan ... though even if you go for a higher version which does not come with a cooling fan , can buy one from the market like a AIO or Thermalkate .
The Ryzen 7 will cost you between $329 to $499

Ryzen 3

If you're not going to do anything more than gaming

Ryzen 5

If you're going to do streaming and lite content creation

Ryzen 7

If you're going to do heavy content creation like photoshop, Maya Studio etc
