This remarkable robot was built by Jay Flatland and Paul Rose. It solves a Rubik's Cube in 1 second!
They had to make holes in the Rubik's Cube so the robot could grab the cube. Then they 3D printed the robot's "arms" and "hands" that latch onto the cube.
There are 4 video cameras that the robot uses to see the Rubik's Cube. Jay and Paul developed some software that uses the images and figures out how to solve the Rubik's Cube.

This machine seems awesome. Yesterday i also saw 1 video on facebook where some student made a robot who solved this cube not in 1 sec but the thing i liked was the machine was using color reading and then started solving it. May be that was your students also..

Glad you think so. It has a very specific use case but it's really good at that one thing!
