A company called Sonatic is developing a platform that creates virtual text to speech that sounds very realistic.
Using high levels of expressivity, the developers were able to create the voice of "Faith", the first AI that could express "herself" by crying.
In my opinion, this development will likely cause a major disruption in the entertainment and voice-over industries.
