Researchers at MIT decided to use the power of artificial intelligence to build a vision system through the walls. The technology is to allow the services to intervene in large facilities faster and more effectively.
A team of engineers from the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT initiated a project called RF-Pose. It uses artificial intelligence algorithms to collect information from devices generating radio signals and on the basis of them creates interior maps of objects.
Although so far many devices have been created that can detect objects behind walls, they were not as effective and exactly as created by people from MIT.
This is due to the advanced neural network. It collects all kinds of specific signals from people or animals and analyzes them, and then precisely reproduces the silhouette of a human or an animal. It allows you to search for specific objects live without losing precious time.
Researchers see the use of their technology in healthcare, monitoring the health of patients, e.g. Parkinson's and the work of the services. Detecting people through the wall can also be a great complement to video games in which players can participate in rescue missions or serve in special branches.
