Yesterday in NASA there was an extremely important conference regarding the alien life that can function on objects traveling through the Solar System. Astronomers have announced that the latest scientific research, published in the pages of Nature Astronomy, shows once again that geysers of gushing water appear on Europe, the moon of Jupiter.
Although it is not a clear proof of the existence of life there, the fact of their existence is already a great news in itself. Scientists want to use this phenomenon to explore the interior of the moon easier and faster, without the need to send very complicated devices there.
It is very probable that in gushing water we can detect traces of functioning life, which is in the assessment of water, under the surface of ice. In recent years, NASA has repeatedly demonstrated evidence of geysers in Europe, but they were not enough. Now this situation has changed.
The new data on the basis of which the latest research was created was created with the help of the Galileo probe. Researchers re-examined the information collected during the next probe crossing near Europe on December 16, 1997. Now it turns out that the mysterious jump in the magnetometer's indications at the time, that is, the instrument for studying changes in the magnetic field, was caused by its passage over the geyser spouting water.
NASA and ESA plan to send Jupiter and Saturn's ice moons in 20 years, called Europe Clipper and JUICE, and a new era of looking for a strange life in our Solar System will begin. New information confirming the geological activity of Europe and the geysers appearing on it will allow scientists to better prepare future missions.
