The GreenWay company, which has been dynamically operating on the European electromobility market for the last few years, will hand over two high-speed chargers for electric vehicles with the power of up to 350 kW for use on the A1 and A2 highways (at their intersections) next year. After just 3 minutes of charging the batteries, the electric car will be able to travel up to 100 kilometers.
By 2020, there will already be 200 charging stations on Polish roads and in cities, including 10 ultrafast and 135 quick ones. The most powerful chargers will offer the option of charging six vehicles at the same time.
"On the A1 motorway, alongside several quick chargers, we intend to install ultra-fast stations, we plan them mainly at intersections with other motorways, eg on the A1 section, between the Tri-City and Łódź and on both Malankovo MAPS managed by the Gdańsk Transport Company" - he said. Rafał Czyżewski, head of GreenWay Polska.
Of course, the speed of charging the batteries in vehicles and the waiting time will depend on the electric system installed in the car. The whole project is co-financed by the European Union.
3 minutes of loading time for 100 km's is pretty nice. I hope that those charging stations will get more and more over the time. I hope that many of them are also built in Germany.
