Earlier this year, we saw few specification leaks of Samsung Galaxy S8 Active on the FCC certification page. Now, the live images of Galaxy S8 Active has surfaced that provide clear look and design of the phone from back and front. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active can be seen in a video posted by TechDroid and images are live on Android Police page.samsung-galaxy-S8-active.jpg
Talking about the specifications and its design aspect, the Galaxy S8 Active has a slightly different design than Samsung Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus. The live images that we saw in video does not have a curved 3D Glass edges on display. Instead, it carries thick bezels on all sides mostly for better protection of the display. The phone has the same a 5.8-inch display, but instead of the gorgeous infinity display like S8, it has flat AMOLED display. The handset is built with the MIL-STD-810G for extra durability and also comes with IP68 dust-and-water resistance certification.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will come with a 4000 mAh battery exactly like last year’s Galaxy S7 Active. The regular S8 ans S8 Plus carries 3000 mAh and 3500 mAh respectively. We also noted that Samsung has ditched the Active Key button in favor of the Bixby button. The new Galaxy S8 Active doesn’t feature underwater camera mode that was present on previous Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. The phone will come with Android 7.0 with Samsung’s TouchWiz running on top of it. Apart from these, all the other specifications will be more likely as Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
