DARPA Is Spending $65 Million To Research Brain-Computer Interfaces

The DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) on Monday awarded contracts to five organizations and one company to develop neural implants that can enable communication between the brain and digital systems. The funding to the tune of $65 million comes under the agency’s Neural Engineering System Design (NESD) programme launched last year under the Obama administration’s BRAIN Initiative that aims to research and develop a high-resolution neural interface.Read More
