EARPHONES
Earphones let a person listen to something privately, more effective, without being disturbed, without disturbing someone. Nowadays they are available for almost everyone.
Headphones originated from the telephone receiver earpiece, and were the only way to listen to electrical audio signals before amplifiers were developed. The first set was developed in 1910 by Nathaniel Baldwin, who made them by hand in his kitchen and sold them to the United States Navy.
In 1958, John Koss produced the first stereo headphones. By the way until that time area of use of headphones was limited. The first real earphones were first developed for hearing aids. They became widely used with transistor radios, in 1954. 3.5 mm jack is first developed by Sony in 1964 and then its popularity was increased with its use on the Walkman in 1979.
Now there are so much different version of earphones; bluetooth, wireless, with cable, earbuds etc.
But some people don't wanna use earphones insistently. I don't know why and i think i will never gonna know. We don't wanna know what are you listening! Please don't use speakers anymore!
Sorry Nathaniel Baldwin! People didn't like your invention!
