You've probably asked yourself this question on more than one occasion, and do you know the reason for using airplane mode on your cell phone? Disconnection or battery saving, if you think of any of these words as an answer, you are right.

Before, it is good to indicate that the use of airplane mode does not generate any damage or harm to your cell phone, it is just one more option that brings us smart phones to make life easier, and of course to be used in the takeoff of a flight, although you already know that.

Using Airplane Mode

  • Fast loading: When your phone's battery is about to run out and you only have a few minutes to charge your smartphone, activating airplane mode is a good option. This means your device won't waste energy because it will disconnect other functions.

It's true that you won't get a miracle charge at 100% in just 5 minutes, but we think it'll be a lot of use to speed it up as much as possible.

  • Battery saving:And since we have said that airplane mode helps to disconnect some functions, therefore the battery of our cell phone should last longer. Indeed, when we are in a place with little or almost no signal, our cell phone spends energy looking for networks to which it can connect.

This helps to reduce the durability of your battery, so activating airplane mode is a good way out. After all, since you're in a no-signal zone, why waste your smartphone battery?

  • No mobile calls: Another good reason for using the mobile phone's airplane mode is to avoid being bothered by traditional mobile calls. However, if you like, you can continue surfing the Internet when you activate the Wi-Fi connection, so you don't let anyone interrupt you, but at the same time you are aware of everything that happens.
  • No commercials or advertising: And since airplane mode disconnects us from the world, and without turning on Wi-Fi, you can use some applications without uncomfortable ads appearing. One example is video game apps, many of which, because they are free, contain a lot of advertising that affects their use.

  • Fast coverage: Many times when we are in the subway or for several seconds in elevator we get to lose connectivity in our device, and when we come to the surface or a free area, our cell phone seems to have stayed inside.

Turning the airplane mode on and off quickly will get you back on your mobile phone, so you don't have to turn your smartphone off and on again, which can be a little uncomfortable.
