How do we mix it all together and ensure it continues to grow and pleases all parties in the process?
For anyone interested in the Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Decentralisation type field (or involved in the industry), I feel like this 20 minute talk would be quite valuable to you. Everyone on this website probably has at least some understanding that the web is moving back towards a more decentralised framework - I mean that is at the core of the whole Steemit platform. And once the web makes the shift it won't be long before most devices and software running on those devices make a similar move.
The research outlined in this talk discusses one possible way forward; the idea is to make this welcomed change possible while still keeping all parties happy. If everything goes to plan; your data remains private and secure, you harness the power of some sophisticated model, the 'creators' receive their cut for creating/maintaining the model(s), you receive a cut for your data being a part of that process.
Perhaps people are sick of the giants like Amazon, Google and Microsoft being central nodes for the majority of the web, or more likely people have realised that these data they are so willing (or not so willing) to give away for free actually holds some value; or probably a mixture of the two with an array of other factors thrown in.
Whatever the case, the playing field is slowly switching and (subjectively) I think this is one of the more promising ways forward; that I've come across so far at least.
What are your thoughts?
Will we ever truly move to a framework where we own and can capitalise on our own data?
Will change come naturally or will people tend to resist the new framework(s)?
Is it even possible/plausible to pull this off successfully?
Do you think this could this level the playing field?
Do you think at the least this is a step in the right direction?

With such a paradigm shift occurring around us, we have no choice but to become more resourceful and more vigilant. The so-called old world that we have learned to accept and embrace it is changing right below our feet. Stay proactive and curious.

Do you think it will all shift that easily though and everyone will have to accept it? Not that they're that comparable things but BitCoin is in a similar boat and I mean it's done better than anyone probably expected but it hasn't been hugely publicly adopted and still holds that overall 'criminal stigma.'
Do you think it's just a matter of some more widely useful, 'professional' decentralised services to come along which will sway the public one way?
