Facebook tried to buy snapchat a couple of years ago for a couple billion. Facebook owns instagram!

    Facebook has owned instagram for a while now :D I assume they launched the stories feature because snapchat won't sell to them lol :D

    If you can't buy them, just make one feature of your already popular app that will trump your competitors entire app lol :D
