The Good Doctor (A new T.V. show that is smart, funny, and heartfelt.)

I have watched the first 6 episodes and I want to report that it is worth your attention and time investment. The Good Doctor has a well rounded cast that feels authentic. The show has a rating of 8.5 on IMDB and I think that it is fair. Freddie Highmore who plays an autistic surgical resident on the show acts his ass off, first class performance. He reminds me of Shawn Penn in quality of acting when Shawn played a mentally challenged father in "I am Sam." If you liked the show House, you most likely will like this show too.

I decided to write this mini review because I enjoyed the show but also because I have had autistic kids around me and I think that this show could help people understand the issues of autism a little more.

Here is the plot summary from IMDB:
"Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, relocates from a quiet country life to join a prestigious hospital surgical unit. Alone in the world and unable to personally connect with those around him, Shaun uses his extraordinary medical gifts to save lives and challenge the skepticism of his colleagues."

I know that this is not an in depth review, it really is just an attempt by me to let people know it is out there and I think it is good.
