Casuarina Track in Garigal National Park, Forestville. NSW. Australia.

Garigal National Park is one of the most unspoiled virgin wilderness areas of Sydney's Middle Harbour.

Casuarina Track winds up, way up from the Carroll Creek Track. You can see other photographs capturing some of the wild beauty of this area in Magical Moments along the Carroll Creek Track: Forestville NSW Australia.

Indigenous People's heritage in Garigal National Park.

The Guringai people have been custodians of the land in Garigal National Park for thousands of years and this connection and legacy is evident throughout the park. Garigal has extensive Aboriginal art sites, with over 100 Aboriginal sites recorded to date, including cave art, rock engravings, shelters, middens and grinding grooves.

I love your photography.
The water looks so soft and your words so sweet. Ancients did see the water. great job! tip! 0.10

this is an absolutely beautiful photo. I am looking for fairies - they must be there!!

Very soft and pretty scene. Even some of the leaves are reflecting light. I opened up your photo in another tab so I could look closely.

A perfect spot for reflecting.

Utterly beautiful photo, Alison! Makes me want to go out in the woods with the dog. Guess that's what I will do. :)
Have a wonderful day, you and your loved ones! :)

Thanks so much Patrick.

I have a growing feeling for venturing out and photographing the bushland and coastal areas around Sydney a lot more this year. Easy to take your own surroundings for granted, when there are so many exotic places all around the world. But I do love our Aussie bushland and the opportunity Steemit gives to share it.

I hope you really enjoyed your time in the woods too. 🦋

What a beautiful scene... love the serenity and quiet of it.
Alison, would you like to check out @qurator, see if you would like to join?

Thanks so much @ackhoo.

Sydney Harbour is surrounded by National Parks. This year I have the feeling for venturing out a lot more into these areas. All quite different, depending where they are. Some are so quiet, except for birds. While others give fabulous views of the city skyline.

I joined @qurator some time ago as I love the recognition they give to original content. But thanks for thinking of me. 🦋

One of the reasons I love living in Sydney is that so much of the Sydney Harbour area is still protected as National Parkland. 🦋
