Yes, yes, let me tell you, Tenerife is much more than just beaches, all inclusive hotels with swimming pools, noise, neon lights and tourist prices. There is a world to which many, but not even half of those who should dare to go out there, will reach in Tenerife.
It awaiting, this magic world, wild terrain, around the corner surprises and as I am trying to tell you today, wicked forests.

Listen, you already rented the car so best to clock some millage on it. Runway to sky, towards La Laguna and just keep going up the hill. Ok, you are looking for those post with directions towards "ANAGA" (TF 12 if you are still using GPS) and well, after so many turns to the right, to the left, back to the right you will reach the most modernize parking slot for the area. Don´t worry so much....... relax, you will find it with no probs.

You know, Paradores are those places where you are suppose to stop and enjoy

Well, there you are, hey nobody said it was going to be easy. Get the backpack (full of sandwiches, I hope), close to the very top that jacket, organise the kids and just choose the way. I promise you all different options are well market but I will just recommend you the one called "el camino de los sentidos" (you should be already looking up in goggle). Anyway, no matter where you go, at some moment you will have to go away from the path.... oh c´mon where is your sense of adventure?

I told you you should not have taking the high-ills

As always, we are with our two little angles, they are going nuts running farther away than I allow, breaking branches and offering bread to everything with four, six or eight legs. I meanwhile, despair trying to instill some respect for the environment, so my wife just left me with the "monkeys" and goes forward to be calm and take some proper pictures, pics that I haven´t got today.

A walk to enjoy a big time for such a simple trek

I reassure you this is a very simple and warm trek. A little more than two hours we will dedicate, with stops - pictures - sandwiches, to go down for a couple of different ways and to go back... we embrace ourselves to follow up an unmarked way, with no issues and two little tired kids.

Remember, when visiting Tenerife the sun cream are a must but do not dare to forget a good pair of sports. Anaga well deserve one or even two days of your short holidays. I wont want to say gooday without recommending to stop in La Laguna, in you way back to the hotel. A historical city, really beautiful and some bars that well deserve a pint and some tapas.
