THE TENETS OF CHRISTIAN FAITH
Ok, good speech by VP JD Vance at CPAC, however, am not satisfied with his answer about the core of Christian faith. He has mentioned the bodily resurrection as the main tenet, Mark 16:9-20, which biblical scholars universally reject as the original ending saying that it was added much later.
"The two oldest manuscripts of Mark 16 (from the 300s) conclude with verse 8, which ends with the women fleeing from the empty tomb, and saying "nothing to anyone, because they were too frightened"." Wikipedia
I think, as Aaronic Christian Priest of LDS Church and founder of Unity Church, the main message of Christianity can be summarized with the three commandments:
☆ "And ye SHALL know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32
☆ "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." John 15:12
☆ "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." Matthew 5:9
Then also very important, Luke17:21 "Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." and "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" John 10:34, Psalm 82:6 "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High."
So, the Christ and Kingdom of Heavens within, keeping love, truth, and peace, the divine status of mankind made in the image of the Creator, redemption through repentance, second birth of awaken in Christ Consciousness soul, eternal afterlife, are the main tenets of Christian faith.
