I'm feeling a bit like I'm from outer space at the moment. I played tennis for 10 years and been following the sport for 30 years but i never knew there was an alternate rankings list nor ever heard of UTR... until now.

UTR uses other units of measurement of points, or they divide points differently. In any case, such a difference in points is not surprising. Then look at the difference between European ratings and American and Asian ratings, and you will also notice that the ratings do not match in points.
